Mourinho's Contract Talks in Manchester United Suffers Hitches
The former Chelsea boss signed a three-year deal which could keep him at Old Trafford until 2019.
Preliminary discussions over an extension took place 2 months ago but sources have told ESPN that they have not advanced any further.
This is coming amid speculation that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in hiring the former Real Madrid manager either at the end of the season or the following summer, to replace Unai Emery.
Speaking ahead of a Champions League tie against Benfica in October, Mourinho said that, although he plans to manage for another 15 years, they will not all be spent at Old Trafford.
He said in Lisbon, “I think I’m going to be 15 years minimum in the job.
“The only thing that I said and is true, and there was not misinterpretation of my words, is I am not going to end my career at Manchester United.”
