Twin Babies Save Each Other’s Life After Hugging Themselves In The Womb

A scan has showed how Identical twins saved each other’s life by hugging themselves in the womb.  The twin babies reportedly escaped strangling each other in the womb with the life-saving hug.

According to reports, their mother Vicky Plowright, was told at her 10-week scan that the twins were monoamniotic – meaning they shared one amniotic sac which meant that their umbilical cords could become tangled, shutting off their oxygen supply and killing them both.

But during the 12 week scan, a sonographer told Vicky, her babies had moved into a life-saving embrace as they hugged each other and held their hands.

The close position of the twins stopped their cords from becoming tangled.

The twins were kept in the neonatal unit for another five weeks, before being discharged at the end of January.

Now, aged 22 months, they could not be closer.
