Tributes Left At George Michael’s Home On The First Anniversary Of His Death

Fans have been remembering George Michael on the first anniversary of his death as the tributes pile up outside his former home in Highgate.

The legendary singer died on Christmas Day 2016 at his home in Goring-On-Thames, Oxfordshire, from natural causes at the age of 53.

And his memory is being honoured as fans continue to leave photos, candles and other tributes outside to mark the fact that it’s been a year since his tragic passing – with regular visitors also stopping at the shrine to pay their respects.

As tributes to the singer continue one year on, his ex-partner Fadi Fawaz has also taken to social media to pay tribute to George.


Marking the anniversary of the Faith singer’s death, the 44-year-old shared an Instagram image merging his and George’s faces.

Blurred red writing features on George’s cheek, which appears to read: ‘I will always miss you till the day I meet you.

My story to tell you. In your sleep I found you, into your dreams I follow you, from your sleep I wake you. This love will wake you, hope will feed you.

‘The world will show you, for a day to see you, from your sleep to keep you.’

On Fadi’s face, a bright red streak is drawn from his eye to his cheek. He captioned the picture: ‘It is what it is.’
