I am insane – Alleged child-killer, Ifeanyi Dike tells Port-Harcourt court
Counsel to Ifeanyi Dike, Lezina Amegua made the claim in an application filed before Justice Adolphus Enebeli of a High Court in Port Harcourt.
Amegua in his application asked the court to allow his client go for medical examination.
Amegua in the application prayed the court to allow doctors assess the mental state of Ifeanyi, following the drama that played out in previous court sitting.
He said his client should be taken to either a government owned hospital or psychiatric hospital to assess his mental challenge.
At the last court session, while his charge was being read to him, Dike made a loud petrifying noise and collapsed before the court few minutes later.
However, Justice Adolphus Enebeli has reserved ruling on the application to February 2, just as he denied bail to the dismissed officer, Sergeant JohnBosco Okereinze who allegedly aided the escape of Ifeanyi Dike when he was first arrested and detained at the State CID, Port Harcourt.
Ifeanyi Maxwell Dike, Ugochukwu Nwaniro and Sergeant JohnBosco Okereinze are facing trial of murder, assessory and aiding and abetting in the murder of little Victory Chikamso in Port Harcourt.
