Plane That Killed Millionaire Food Boss, Sons & Fiancee Was Same Model That Killed Another Family

The same model of seaplane involved in a horror New Year's Eve crash in Australia also killed a second Brit family in 2015.

Emma Bowden, 48, and her daughter, Heather Bowden-Page, 11, died on Saturday along with the 1964 DH C-2 Beaver pilot Gareth Morgan, 44.

Ms Bowden's millionaire businessman fiancée Richard Cousins, 58, and his sons, Edward, 23, and William Cousins, 25, also perished.

The seaplane is the same aircraft model that crashed in Canada in 2015, killing another British family - Fiona and Richard Hewitt, their daughter Felicity, 17, and 14-year-old son Harry.

After the August 23, 2015 crash Canadian authorities recommended that the plane model be fitted with a warning system, but Australian investigators were unable to say whether the advice had been followed.
