Videos: Former NFL star Rae Carruth released from prison after almost 20 years

The former Carolina Panthers wide receiver, who was drafted in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft, walked out of prison as a free man on Monday after serving nearly 20 years.
In 2001, Carruth was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder of his pregnant girlfriend, Cherica Adams.
The most notorious crime in the history of Charlotte sports is about to have its final chapter. Former Carolina Panthers player Rae Carruth, who hired a hitman to kill his pregnant girlfriend in 1999, is set to be released from prison on Monday.
Cherica Adams was eight months pregnant with their son when she was shot in a drive-by shooting on Rea Road.
