Photos: The world’s most expensive shoes costing $20M, unveiled in Dubai
On Friday, the world’s most expensive shoe was unveiled in Dubai Marina.
The unique pair of shoes, labelled ‘The Moon Star Shoes’, are believed to be worth an unbelievable Dhs73 million and were hand-crafted to include 30 carats of diamonds and a small piece of meteorite discovered in Argentina back in 1576. Created by Italian designer Antonio Vietri, the heels pay homage to the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, with the solid gold heel resembling the famous structure. Setting the tone for MIDE (Made in Italy, Designed in Emirates) Fashion Week, these exorbitant shoes fit right in amongst the Dubai crowd who are used to making and breaking world records.
The current Guinness World Record for the most expensive pair of shoes is $15.5 million dollars.
