Photos: Mum names twins born in lockdown 'Corona' & 'Covid'

A mum has named her twins born during lockdown 'Corona' and 'Covid' as a reminder of the pandemic.
Preeti Verma said the names of her little boy and girl, who came into the world last Friday, would remind her of exactly what was happening on the week of their birth. Her baby boy is Covid, and his sister is called Corona, and Preeti said they would not forget the hardships endured during this time,
The 27-year-old, from Chhattisgarh, central India, said that the pandemic has also brought with it some happy memories. She did admit, however, that she might change the names of her twins when they get older.
Preeti, who also has a two-year-old daughter, said: "The delivery happened after facing several difficulties and therefore, me and my husband wanted to make the day memorable.
The twins were born via caesarean section following complications, and both mother and babies have since been discharged. Public relations officer Shubhra Singh from the government-run hospital confirmed the news to NDTV.
Preeti Verma gave birth to son Corona and daughter Covid on March 27 amid India's 21-day lockdown, according to reports from Indian News Outlet NDTV. She is pictured above with her newborn children and two year old daughter
