Photos: Saudi man falls & dies in the Nile while taking a selfie

The body of a Saudi man who went missing in Uganda while on a business trip was found by authorities on Tuesday.
He drowned after he slipped and fell into the Nile while apparently attempting to take a selfie, police said. "The body has been recovered by the police marine unit and taken for postmortem," Uganda police spokeswoman Hellen Butoto told AFP. The Saudi Embassy in Uganda announced that Mothker Al Subaie’s body was found in the Nile. He spent the last days of his trip on holiday.
“The embassy would like to make clear that Mothker Al Subaie passed away this morning … we would like to thank everyone who expressed support,” a statement said. Al Subaie’s made a video of the Nile on the image-sharing app Snapchat. “This is the real base of the Nile, Bless God, if you threw a glass here, you’ll find it in Cairo in two months,” he said in a 16-second clip.
Al Subaie documented his trip in the days leading to his death. Posts on Snapchat show he started his trip in Kampala, the Ugandan capital, and was accompanied by at least one other Saudi, who was studying in the country. Condolences poured in online after his death was announced.
The embassy urged its citizens to exercise caution if they travel to Uganda. It will be return Al Subaie's body to Saudi Arabia.
