On Saturday the 13th of July 2019, Professor Wole Soyinka turned 85 and Monday the 15th July was the official birthday reception termed 'Kongi@85'!
All roads led to Freedom Park Ikoyi, Lagos where the Nobel Laureate was celebrated by friends, family, celebrities and politicians.
Notable guests included Mr. Amaechi, Mr. Fashola, Governor Fayemi, representatives of other Governors and of Mr.President, Erelewu Dosumu of Lagos, veteran ace flutist, Tee Mac Iselli (who also performed), Tonye Cole et al.
